Travelling Back Over To The Howardian Hills

You will come across Nunnington, an unspoilt village and home to Nunnington Hall, a grand old family country house and a National Trust property.

Pitch a deck-chair and enjoy cake and tea whilst the children play quoits and croquet on the immaculate lawns and explore the pretty cottage garden. Don’t miss the rooms housing the doll’s house collection which are sure to enthral any miniature enthusiast.

Further down the road towards York, stands the even more opulent stately home of Castle Howard, where Brideshead Revisited and Bridgerton were both filmed.  Explore the grand house and the magnificent gardens with impressive statues and fountains before heading down to the boating lake to possibly the most adventurous playground in Yorkshire – Skelf Island.
