Sunnyside

Sunnyside is a unique, spacious home, situated just a mile out of Pickering in the small hamlet of Newbridge. Its modern interior creates a comfortable and relaxing space for groups of up to 8 guests. With 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, there is ample room for everyone to enjoy their time away from home. Each room can be configured as either two single beds or one superking bed, allowing flexibility for all the family to be included.

It benefits from excellent views of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, with steam trains passing right by the back garden during the season. There is also an abundance of bird life during the summer which can be enjoyed from the outside seating area or from the comfort of the indoor armchairs by the glass sliding doors. If you’re lucky enough to bag the upstairs room with the balcony, you’ll have the best seats in the house! An outdoor barbeque area is also available with a large table for everyone to enjoy al fresco dining.

During the colder months, a large woodburner provides warmth throughout the open plan living space along with underfloor heating. The property was built with various ecological elements in mind and benefits from solar powered heating and electricity.

There is ample parking for several cars. Cyclists and walkers are welcomed and there is secure bike storage available on site, along with the offer of additional tour guide services from host Nathan, a keen road cyclist. With all that the local area has to offer: hill climbs, moorland views, lowland country lanes, not forgetting an abundance of mountain biking trails - with Dalby Forest on the doorstep -  there really is something to suit everybody.

Gill and Nathan live locally so can be available to assist with any queries during a stay. They clean and maintain the property themselves, ensuring high standards for each group. They look forward to welcoming guests to Sunnyside.
